EXCLUSIVELY AVAILABLE FROM SUN INDUSTRIES, INC. THE SUNVIEW KNOWLDGEBASE™ A UNIQUE CENTRALIZED PROJECT
MANAGEMENT DATABASE FOR THE DESIGN AND BUILD LIGHITNG INDUSTRY
(2006, Santa Ana, CA)
Sun Industries developed the SunView KnowledgeBase™ in response to
their client’s needs to implement several simultaneous lighting upgrade
and retrofit projects. The SunView KnowledgeBase is a value-added database
and information management service that tracks all aspects of project
management and performance related to design and build energy efficient
lighting projects.
The cornerstone of this service is a database platform which tracks all
aspects of project management and performance related to an
energy-efficient lighting project designed and implemented by Sun
Industries. Lynda Sun, Owner and CEO of Sun
Industries explains
that “SunView KnowledgeBase is unlike any other tracking service in the
industry. Our years of experience helped us pre-define process controls
and QA standards that drive the information exchange between project
managers, technicians and our clients. Our Technicians, on-site installation teams and centralized project
managers access the database to log and track critical milestones
before, during and after the lighting project. As milestones are
reached, SunView is capable of generating compliance reports to insure
projects stay on-time and on-budget."
If the project experiences delays, SunView is capable of noting in
exception report fashion, allowing both the client and the Sun Industries
team to take corrective actions. The ability to respond and resolve
issues is made possible by the exception reporting notification and
subsequent entry of resolution notes. This feature also insures that
anyone who encounters similar circumstances later on in the project has
access to the information surrounding prior resolution. SunView
features include both site-specific and total project reporting
modules. Communications and documentation are attached to a project
entry, where appropriate, stored in the SunView Knowledgebase, and
accessible to both client and authorized Sun Industries personnel. Daily
reports, installation requirements, methods and procedures are all
capable of being tracked and analyzed. Finally, project close-out
documentation and actual energy savings versus engineering estimates
are also available through SunView. SunView is real-time, 24X7 and is
easily accessible with secure, password-protected access from any web
browser.
"Large, national accounts often have a variety of energy savings
lighting initiatives going on in multiple facilities and at various
stages of design, implementation and close-out. These clients use
SunView as their primary information management system for the
projects”, explains Ms. Sun. She goes on to say, “The SunView
Knowledgebase helps enhance efficiency and accuracy in the complex
world of energy efficient lighting upgrades. It provides a cumulative
history of all projects, helping both clients and Sun Industries
turn information into insight and decision support. Most of all, it
helps Sun meet and/or exceed the expectations of our most important
audience – our clients!"
The SunView Knowledgebase. Available exclusively from Sun Industries, Inc.
