Our Channel Partners typically include Energy Service Companies
(ESCO’s) and Distributors of maintenance, repair and operational
supplies (MRO's). In most cases, our channel partner assumes control of
the overall energy project and client relationship while outsourcing
the lighting upgrade portion to Sun.
Energy Service Companies (ESCO's)
We understand that you have a team responsible for the lighting portion
of your energy efficiency projects. We can aid that team by providing
our expertise to help you compete in the marketplace and to provide the
optimal solution to your accounts. Lately there has been a trend in
outsourcing the design and implementation of lighting retrofits to
specialist companies like Sun in order to maximize energy savings,
lower implementation and project management costs and win the entire
contract.
MRO Providers
Distributors of maintenance, repair and operational equipment generally
serve two markets, direct to the end-user facility maintenance
professionals and construction, maintenance and repair contractors.
Occasionally, they have lighting needs beyond the typical maintenance
program. In these cases the distributor works with their customers to
understand their needs so they can propose the best solution for their
clients. Typically, distributors handle thousands of MRO products in
their inventory so it is not surprising that when it comes to expertise
about lighting they look outside for help. Sun Industries will work
closely with you and your customers to ensure the optimal lighting
solution design is implemented by our engineers and technicians,
thereby insuring that you keep the lighting portion of the MRO contract.
With the significant improvements in lighting technology that came in
the late 90’s we saw a dramatic increase in the amount of energy
savings that could be generated by a lighting retrofit. These new
lighting technologies have become so effective at improving the overall
payback period for all systems in a facility that lighting is now
typically the first system retrofit by ESCO’s today or one of the
earliest equipment changes suggested by MRO’s. Unfortunately the
required dedication of a team to maintain expertise in the new lighting
technologies is a challenge. Without a partner who has a high level of
lighting expertise, utilizing cutting edge technological advancements,
this could lead to a more moderate solution. This is unfortunate for
the customer, for you and for the environment. It may also make or
break your overall project bid or account relationship.
Outsourcing the design and implementation of the lighting portion of
your project to Sun will provide you with the expertise you need to
optimize lighting solutions, significantly decrease energy consumption
and provide a reasonable Return on Investment and pay-back period for
your client.
